You can make anything you like. We have a huge choice of beginners sewing projects including patterns that are suitable for dressmaking for beginners.
Learn to sew clothes, for babies children and Adults, or work on an interior project, including cushions and peg bags. Or bring along your own project.
All the equipment, and Singer sewing machines and Jamone over lockers are provided.
No prior sewing experience is necessary to join these welcoming weekly stitch classes. Home made cake; tea and coffee are served at the class.
There is the option at a Sew Retro beginner sewing class to book a sewing machine lesson, combined with a basic sewing class.
If you have never used a sewing machine before and would like to practice threading the sewing machine, winding and inserting the bobbin into the sewing machine, stitching in straight lines, and keeping to the seam allowance, this is the class for you.
You will learn how the sewing the machine works. This class is combined with a basic sewing class where you will learn how to pin a pattern onto the fabric, and how to cut out fabric. You will also start to understand the markings on commercial patterns.
Sew Retro provides the sewing machine and equipment but you are welcome to bring your sewing machine to this class. This is covered in your first beginners sewing class, when you book a block of 3 or 4 classes.
